It's that time of year again!
As cliche as it sounds, time really does fly when you're having fun. Things haven't changed, they've progressed; life hasn't been busy, it's been HECTIC; boundaries haven't been pushed, they've been blasted! All of which has assured Scribble Ink's leadership in the writers' revelation revolution.
Last year Scribble Ink obtained office space in St Marks Community Centre, launched the Ambassadors' Programme and of course provided a wealth of consultations with schools, community groups, writers' and start up business.' Scribble Ink also managed to network with some fantastic organisations including Oasis, Elexu and Newham Council.
The start of this year has also seen new technological and communicative advances including a mobile app, a seasonal e bulletin and the start of regular print mail outs. Moreover, 2012 will see the launch of 'Scribble Goes Global'- an initiative designed to established arts programmes in deprived schools amidst developing countries. This programme will also train a young person to deliver Scribble Nation workshops and Scribble Island consultations with aims to enhance their teaching skills as well as employability. And this doesn't include the tonnes of youth and community workshops as well as creative events to come! Being in the Olympic borough guarantees a plethora of exciting opportunities which I cannot with to share with you.
This year it’s my hope that Scribble Ink becomes an international phenomenon; that it not only develops writers’, but all creatives through initiatives like the Ambassadors’ Programme as well as the many networking opportunities to come; that more e-books are bought about and of course, that more financial support ensues to make all of this and more a certainty.
As Nelson Mandela once said: “After climbing a great hill, one only finds that there are many more hills to climb.” Will Scribble Ink achieve all it’s dreams for 2012 and be ready to conquer the mountains of 2013? Time will be an indicator, but my determination will be an affirmation.
Many thanks to all my Ambassadors for their faith in the Writers' Revelation Revolution, a huge thanks to St Marks Community Centre for their ongoing support and of course, much love to all those advertising Scribble Ink, whether via word of mouth or liking the Facebook page. Always a huge thanks to support from the higher powers and naturally, a massive thanks to you for reading this blog and acknowledging how far this sensational story consultancy has come.
