Evidently, the ability to write a personal statement that sells 'you' as a brand, communicates your mission and vision clearly, outlines your success and future directions, while also respecting the language of the organisation, production or institute you're appealling to, is a hard balance, and can feel like an overwhelming task...at first. With help from a range of templates and other resources, writers will develop a full draft of their personal statement and establish the best ways to use it. Workshop entitlements:

Write in Epistolary Form


Workshop overview: Epistolary is a literary work of letters curated to form a fluid, engaging and authentic-feeling narrative (think Celie's diary entries in The Colour Purple). Using case studies from ground-breaking authors like Alice Walker, we will explore the magic in epistolary form, dust the cobwebs off old diary entries, blog posts, newspaper clippings and social media posts, and then develop a framework for an epistolary novella.
